Forget the hoffy Dodger Dog take a Lupe's #2 burrito. This is a new staple for when my family and I go to see a Dodgers game. "It's time for Lupe's burrito!"

I liked it. Came in to try the famous bean and cheese burrito. I got the red one. So good! Loved the beans, the cheese was melted. It had a nice light heat to me. The beans will definitely spill out while eating, I think I'll order some guac fries on the side next time to scoop up the extra spilled beans. Also got a steak quesadilla and it was solid. The red salsa has a nice flavor and light heat. Will definitely be coming back to try more. Only a few tables outside so might be better as a to go option. Service was good. Friendly staff. There's only a few parking spots in front otherwise you'll have to find street parking.

Great food, I tried the Special Combo burrito and potato taco and would get them again, can't wait to try everything else!

The shack looks more like an old-school burger joint than a burrito destination, and Lupe's long menu does have a dedicated burger section. But those in the know usually opt for the iconic Bean & Cheese Burrito. This base option is the favorite order of the LA Times' Jonathan Gold, but you can upgrade it with chiles and meat. The whitewashed plaster shack is trimmed with a vibrant red-and-white awning, and the towering sign stands out along an otherwise drab and industrial block of E 3rd St. The storefront is mostly undecorated, apart from a few nods to LA sports teams and a portrait commemorating the late founder Adelina Portillo. Spanish language music rings from the kitchen. Lupe's has a dedicated parking lot, but to describe it as "tiny" would be generous -- while street parking is available a half-block up or down the street, many locals stop at the No Parking zone immediately outside. Deeper into the lot, a handful of scarlet rubber picnic tables and umbrellas are arranged underneath a sweeping canopy. The shack closes relatively early, so expect a steady stream of customers for early dinner. Lupe's is a counter-service-only affair: I placed my order on the parking lot side, then waited about 15 minutes for my number to be called from the street side. The burritos are moderately large, wrapped in a mostly forgettable flour tortilla. The Green Combo Burrito perfectly pairs shredded beef and tangy green chiles with molten refried beans and cheese. Meanwhile, the Chile Relleno Burrito has more structure, at the expense of the richly creamy beans and chiles. The accompanying salsa roja sports a subtle flavor and a lingering spice. Be sure to check in on Yelp for a free drink; I prefer the creamy Orange Bang over the mediocre Horchata Ole. The burritos run around $10, which felt a tad expensive for the portion size and quality. While I don't see myself as a regular, I'd pay Lupe's a revisit when I'm craving for their specific style of burrito.

I recently tried Lupe's Burritos and I must say, it was an absolute delight! Their green chili, bean, and cheese burrito surpassed all my expectations. The flavors were rich and authentic, making it the best burrito of its kind I've ever had. The customer service was exceptional; the staff was friendly and accommodating, making my experience even more enjoyable. The only slight downside was the difficulty in finding parking nearby, but trust me, it's worth the extra effort. Overall, Lupe's Burritos earns a solid five stars in my book! Not to mention, they don't have public restrooms, but they do have hand sanitizer on site. The ambience was great.They have about three picnic benches that made my dining experience great. I was in the area for work, and my coworkers picked Lupe's for lunch. I checked out their menu online, and the pictures of the food looked very promising. I also heard about their amazing shredded beef that they have. We arrived at Lupe's around 12pm on a Wednesday. Parking was sparse, and you got to circle around the neighborhood to find street parking. Overall service was great. Friendly staff and the food came out in a timely manner. I got the Beef, Beans, and Green burrito, which consisted of that awesome beef everyone raves about (the hype is real), cheese, refried beans, and grilled Anaheim peppers for the "green." The beef was so tender and flavorful. I could've just had that over rice and been super happy. Looking forward to trying other items off the menu. Their hot sauce is no joke. I have a high tolerance for heat, but I had to lightly spot check each bite with the sauce.

This little to no frills burrito stand has been around for a long time (since 1972) feeding folks in East Los Angeles. Pretty efficient ordering with helpful people. I think you might be able to pre order as well from their website (when I went, there wasn't a long line, but people walked up and were able to grab their food while I was there - I walked up to order there...call me a little old school). They mention that they specialize in 12 kinds of burritos and they have a few other items available to order. I ended up getting a bean, cheese, and green chile burrito as well as some taquitos (w/ guac), and an Orange Bang to wash it down. The taquitos were good with a nice crunch, but you most likely come here for the burritos. The bean and cheese and green chile burrito was as delicious as I thought it was going to be. And oh so warm and comforting. The Orange Bang was great. Can't be healthy at all, but I love the flavor profile of orange creamsicle. There is seating there if you want to eat right away. I appreciate the decor with the local teams. (Dodgers/ USC/ Rams) Parking: I recommend parking on the street even if you have to walk up. There are a few spaces in a lot, but they're diagonal heading in and it's a thin lane. Which means to get out, you have to back up all the way to the busy street or someone can block you in if they don't pull in enough. The street where it's located is essentially one lane with people parking across next to the metro line and putting on their hazards. If you don't mind walking, I fully suggest parking a bit further away. I did and boy was I glad. Definitely recommend if you enjoy straightforward burritos and enjoy a bit of a historic LA feel. There's a reason why it's been around for so long.
